I'm back in the classroom full time, but that doesn't mean I should have to compromise my style just because I'm at work, right?? I like to look nice, but living on a teacher's salary while paying a dance bill is nooooo joke. I buy a lot of affordable pieces so I can always look my best, but on a budget. Let me share my favs with you from the past two weeks!
Nothing is easier than throwing on your trusty pair of black work pants along with a cute blouse. Fortunately for me, Shein has so many work appropriate blouses for $7-10 each, so I stock up! This ruffle-detailed top is a fav for me-- for reference, I'm in a size XS.
I've been all about a belt too- so I tuck in the front of my blouse, wear a cute belt, and sometimes match them with my shoes like I did here! I certainly don't have the money for Hermes sandals, but these dupes are good enough for meeee!
No need to break the bank for a lot of these items- Amazon, Shein, Forever 21 all have great options. And also- DON'T feel like you're "too old" to shop items from Forever 21. While a lot of their clothing might not be your style, the accessories can work for ANYONE! And you'd be surprised at some of the items you'd find while shopping online!
This mint color has been my FAVORITE lately. It seems like almost everything I wear is falling into the seafoam green category and I am HERE for it!
This dress is so easy to wear, and at under $10? It is perfect for work or the weekend! It hits at a great length, so you can wear it without worrying about it being too short. I am wearing a size Small! I throw on an easy pair of slip shorts and I'm ready to roll!
And really- how cute is my chalkboard cabinet?? Love!
This is the dress I wore for Open House this year. It is SO easy to wear and - the best part?- it has pockets!! I got SO many compliments on this dress and I had so many people ask me where I got it from- it's another Shein purchase!! I'm wearing a size XS in this dress. It is GREAT quality and it is NOT thin or see-through. Such a good buy!
Last look- still in the mint green family! This ruffle dress is my FAV mint green color, and it is so easy to wear! I'm wearing a size Small in this one. I wore this to brunch the weekend before, and then I wore it to work during the week. It can be dressed up or down, which is why I love it so much! And a flounce dress is so attractive on so many body types!
And how adorable is my backpack? It is succulent-themed just like my classroom!
Do you want to see more work looks? Casual looks? Both? Let me know and I'll serve that up for you!
